For our client, Credendo, we are looking for a Claims Officer to strengthen the Legal & Claims Management department in Brussels. You have an excellent command of Dutch, French, and English – both spoken and written – and can communicate confidently in a multilingual, professional environment. A first work experience in the sector is considered an asset.

As a Claims Officer, you will be part of the Legal and Claims Management department and report to a Claims Coordinator. Your responsibilities will include:
– Managing and analyzing dispute cases on behalf of clients.
– Applying insurance terms and proactively pursuing debt collection from debtors.
– Investigating issues, drawing conclusions, and proposing appropriate solutions.
– Maintaining active contact and negotiating with insured parties, debtors, and brokers.
– Coordinating with colleagues and other operational departments (sales, risk underwriting, policy administration).
– Handling the administrative follow-up of files in the central IT system.
– Contributing to the development and follow-up of a global network of lawyers and collection agencies.
Profiel
You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance & insurance, international trade, law, or a related field.
Dutch is your native language, and you have a good command of both French and English, written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
A first work experience, ideally in a debt collection agency, is considered an asset.
You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and are able to summarize information clearly.
You are results-oriented, take initiative, and have excellent communication skills.
You take an assertive approach to problem-solving, work independently, and thrive in a team environment.
