Meet Els: “The inspiring optimist!”

Today, we have the pleasure of delving deeper into Els’s interests and personality. Beyond her hours as a dynamic recruitment consultant at nonzerosum, Els reveals herself as someone who values both relaxation and ambition, always striving for balance in her life.

Q: How does your perfect day off look like?

A: A perfect day off begins with a bit of sleeping in, followed by a nice breakfast (preferably with good company). Letting the rest of the day unfold naturally and enjoying whatever comes my way seems like a wonderful way to spend the rest of that free day.

Q: What is your little joy? Your guilty pleasure?

A: Definitely binge-watching a Netflix series when I’m home alone, preferably with a glass of wine and some chips.

Q: If you could make three wishes, what would they be?

A: That discrimination no longer exists and that people are more tolerant, that there are no terrible wars, and closer to home, that my children remain healthy and happy.

Q: What tops your bucket list?

A: A trip to New York. That city continues to capture my imagination, and I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. I hope to finally make it happen next year.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Pasta and fries are in constant competition with each other.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement?

A: That my children have grown into wonderful young adults. I hope I’ve contributed a little to that.

Q: What is your life motto?

A: The quote from Nelson Mandela, “It always seems impossible until it’s done,” really resonates with me. I truly believe you can achieve anything as long as you want it badly enough.

Q: What do you spend more money on than you’d like?

A: Groceries. It’s a necessary evil but has become really expensive lately.

Q: What would you do first if you won the lottery?

A: I’d think very carefully about what to do with all that money.

Q: What do you value in a friendship?

A: That you can count on each other when it matters and enjoy the moments you spend together, even if you don’t see each other every day or even every week.
